WICKHAM HOUSE KICKS OFF NEW PRIME TIME CHANNEL 4 DOCUMENTARY, ‘THE INTERVIEW’

Over the last few months we've been working behind the scenes on a very exciting new Channel 4 documentary on behalf of our client Wickham House. Having secured the prime time broadcast opportunity for Wickham, we're thrilled that Philippa D’Arcy, owner of the recently launched ultra-luxurious venue set on the outskirts of Newbury in Berkshire, will be kicking off the inaugural episode of the much-anticipated documentary ‘The Interview’.

The series follows the interview process for real jobs being offered by genuine employers. It will reveal in detail for the first time the terror and triumph of real-life interviews, highlighting every aspect, from handshake to potentially life-changing job offer. Taking viewers right into the heart of one of Britain's last 'secret spaces' - the interview room – the programme is simple and authentic; real candidates battling it out against each other in pursuit of real jobs.

Commenting ahead of the show’s debut, Philippa said “It’s been a huge privilege to take part in such an exciting new television show and I’m delighted to have been chosen for the inaugural episode. I have a long track record of interviewing so am at ease sitting across the table to candidates. However, because I am deeply passionate about my business, which also happens to be my family home, I found it an exhausting but incredibly rewarding process.”

Along with her daughter Bertie, Philippa is on the hunt for a marketing manager to support the current team to further raise the profile and drive business for her family home, Wickham House, a late 18th Century Georgian Manor House that opened its doors in the autumn of 2015 as an exclusive-use venue for weddings and special occasions.  The process takes place both in London and Wickham House where glimpses of the fabulous space are caught on camera.

In her former career as one of Europe’s foremost city head-hunters Philippa conducted over 1000 job interviews, growing the business to a headcount of 52 at its peak.  Claiming many investment banks on her books, she advised them on hiring some of the best performers in the City and Wall Street, retiring in 2013 after 32 years at the helm to focus on running her events business at Wickham House.

Tune in to The Interview on Tuesday 12 July, 9pm, Channel 4.
